Forthcoming Book on Revelation

Hey everyone,

A couple of my followers have asked why the blog posts have silenced. Back in January I was approached and given an opportunity. I did not want to get my hopes up or even announce it until it seemed a bit more sure. The Teleios Academy has graciously given me the opportunity to write an inductive Bible Study and commentary on the book of Revelation. To say I am thrilled is an understatement.

As of now, I am done with Revelation 1-11. The goal is to have the first draft submitted at the beginning of June. This has been a joy to write, yet pray for perseverance as I am trying to write in the middle of pastoring a church and serving my family. What is encouraging is that this is a project I desired to do years ago but gave up on the dream. Now, after giving about ten years to studying the book of Revelation, I am already seeing the fruit of such labor.

For those of you who are interested, it will be an inductive study that gets the reader into the text with a bit of commentary to help. It will not be an exhaustive work but one that tries to make clear the main structure and themes of Revelation clear, especially through shining light on the Old Testament Allusions. The original desire was to be able to give lay persons who are intimidated by Revelation, the tools and structure necessary to see what a special book it is, one that makes much of the victory of Christ and how that comforts suffering saints. So, please be praying with me and I will try to keep the blog going once time permits.

and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.” – Revelation 1:5
